Do you agree with me that the health insurance system in this country is KAPUTT??!!

We have neglected this problem for many years.  It is time that it is changed.  Many members of the medical profession now agree that we need to go to a universal single-payer system. 

There are some proposals before Congress that make sense.  One is from Senators Wyden and Bennett (http://bennett.senate.gov/press/record.cfm?id=277794, http://wyden.senate.gov/media/2006/12132006_Healthy_Americans_Act.htm ), and one is from Senators Kucinich and Conyers (http://kucinich.us/issues/universalhealth.php, http://www.house.gov/conyers/news_hr676_4.htm).  Congress needs to act on these now.  You can help by letting your Senators and Representatives know that you want to see change and that you support these proposals.
